My Story

My desire to make a career change into UX/UI design comes from my interest in user-centered design where I can utilize my skills I've gained from the veterinary field, such as; attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure.

I spent my undergraduate studying biology and animal behavioral sciences. In the past 6 years, I’ve been working in the veterinary field with animals, believing that was my path to becoming a veterinarian. It wasn’t until recently my life goals started to unalign with that of my career goals. I still love animals and plan to surround myself with them, but I realized I yearned to use that creative side of my brain in my daily life. I recognized that a lot of my interest came from problem-solving and collaboration.

I found UX/UI design as a way to utilize my creativity by producing designs that can impact people's lives to be more enjoyable and efficient. My experience in veterinary medicine has given me valuable skills; such as attention to detail and empathy that I believe will serve me well in my new career of UX/UI design. I’m excited about the opportunities ahead to utilize these skills and newfound passions of mine to make an impact on people’s lives through the design of user-centered products and services.

When I get the chance, I love grabbing a canvas and paints, letting my creativity flow and having a blast making colorful art.

Life's Snapshots

When I have free time, I’m lost in my hobbies. You can catch me being active in nature (especially watching sunsets), hiking, traveling or being around my friends and family. And let’s not forget my deep-seated love for animals. Despite leaving my vet days behind, I remain an animal lover who will pet every dog that crosses my path—without question.
